Virtualization Specialist....

DTC, LLC has a new opportunity for a Virtualization Specialist to provide Windows Server, Linux RHEL, and/or Desktop administration support in a traditional and virtual environment with the Air Force Research Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM. The successful candidate will have detailed technical expertise in virtualization techniques and implementation.
Key Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Configuring and managing virtualized environments, including hosts, networking and storage resources
• Consolidating and converting physical machines and rapid provisioning of virtual machines (VMs) using a central console
• Maintain, administer, and troubleshoot applications, operating systems, and hardware related to Microsoft Windows Workstation/Servers based operating systems and Linux RHEL operating systems
• Provide support for customers focusing on research, development, and red team tactics
• Provide hands-on/virtual desktop support 24x7 in accordance with mission requirements
• Manage and administer all aspects of user account management such as password, group, and privilege management for user access
• Maintain system readiness through the implementation, administration, and management of DISA STIG’s, and other related DoD policies on all related systems
• Apply high skill with commands, utilities and understand advanced aspects in the engineering and administration of virtual machines/networks
• Collaborate with the other server, SAN and application teams, identify operational characteristics, determining the presence of a problem, identifying possible solutions, selecting the most appropriate solution, and implementing that solution in a timely manner in accordance with Change Control Process
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; contribute to and maintain system standards, policies, and procedures
• Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting, system hardware, installation, firmware patching, and virtual machine/network software patching
• Strong hands-on experience with virtual machine/network systems administration and support including VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, Affinity rules, vCenter, storage migrations, and P2V migrations
• Strong hands-on experience with virtual machine/network problem determination, capacity planning and root cause analysis
• Strong hands-on experience with virtual machine/network Thin Provisioning, Resource Pools, Host Profiles, and 3rd party plug-ins
• Strong hands-on experience with virtual machine/network Standard and Distributed Switches
• Experience with running administrative reports in virtual machines/networks
• Responsible for the health of the production server infrastructure
• Experience with running administrative reports
• Able to analyze alerts from various monitoring tools and take appropriate actions during troubleshooting
Required Skills / Qualifications:
• B.S. in a technical field of study
• Must have an active TS/SCI and Security+ certification at a minimum
• Self-starter; able to manage multiple tasks efficiently for on-time delivery • Self-motivated; proactive; a team player; well spoken
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences • Create and Maintain SOP's and train junior staff as necessary

Desired Skills / Qualifications:
• B.S./M.S. (or equivalent work experience) in computer science or related disclipline
• Experience as a technical lead for IT integration in support of spacecraft C2, integration and test
• Experience with Government Customer acquisition and program management processes
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
• Excellent oral and written communication skills


Information Systems Storage Specialist...

DTC, LLC has an opening for an Information Systems Storage Specialist to install, upgrade, and support storage features and functions across the Windows and Linux platforms supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM.

Key Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Install, operate, and maintain network and storage appliances
• Install patches and perform system updates
• Manage storage allocation, space, and replication strategies
• Analyze and resolve problems related to storage systems and network storage solutions
• Troubleshoot and restore complex storage problems across the enterprise related to replication strategies and storage strategies across wide area networks
• Recover data when required
• Provide recommendations on storage upgrades and support project integration as required
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot NAS protocols and solutions
• Create and configure volumes, disk shelves, and RAID groups
• Implements and troubleshoots storage devices to protect the integrity and availability of information systems infrastructure
• Responsible for daily operational governance with service providers for second level operational support, replace and configure end of life equipment, and upgrade the infrastructure based on capacity and lifecycle for management projects
• Participate in the storage design and implement configurations to meet program and customer needs
• Construct a reliable and high-performing storage and backup system, with a thorough understanding of storage best practices, demonstrated configuration control management, and discipline working on a production system while supporting the needs of various mission-critical users
